Dr. Patrick Tran is a proud Calgary native who followed his passion for dentistry across the Pacific, earning his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction from James Cook University in Cairns, Australia. During his time in Australia, he gained valuable clinical experience in both public and private practices, caring for diverse communities throughout Far North Queensland. He was also honoured to contribute to published research in the Australian Dental Journal, Cannabinoid therapeutics in orofacial pain management: a systematic review.
After graduation, Dr. Tran continued practicing on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, working alongside clinicians with specialized interests. This experience helped him develop a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to diagnosing dental conditions and creating personalized treatment plans. He strongly believes that prevention is the foundation of lifelong oral health and takes pride in helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their care. Welcoming New Patients now!
Driven by both personal growth and a love for culture, Dr. Tran spent a year living in Montreal to immerse himself in Canadian and French culture. Being trilingual in English, French, and Vietnamese, he values meaningful communication and enjoys connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds. Ultimately, he returned home to Calgary to be closer to family and to continue serving the community he grew up in.
Dr. Tran is board-certified to practice dentistry in both Canada and Australia and is committed to lifelong learning. As a member of the Kois Study Club — the longest-standing dental study club in Calgary — he actively stays up to date with the latest research, continually refining his skills to provide the highest level of care for his patients.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Tran enjoys staying active through CrossFit and spending time in the mountains skiing. After years of snowboarding, he’s embraced the challenge of skiing again and loves making the most of Alberta’s winters.
